In an agency where insight, idea and impact is core to its culture and creative product, Y&R South Africa is thrilled to have renowned ad-man, Alistair Duff join the team as Head of Strategy, responsible for agency clients nationally.
Alistair is a seasoned advertising man with 20 years experience, most of which has been at planning director level. He has built up his career at renowned agencies such as TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, DraftFCB, Ogilvy, McCann, Jupiter and DDB, and worked across all types of accounts, markets, and consumer segments.
Over the years, Alistair has worked on more than 50 successful pitches and serviced brands such as SAB, Edcon, General Motors, The Human Rights Commission, Nike, Tiger and others.

Alistair was awarded an Apex Gold for strategic excellence on United Retail and received a Citation from this client for highly effective brand building. He was the first external supplier to be recognized. Other awards include numerous client-nominated PMR Awards for strategic excellence, three of which are Diamond – the highest award possible. Financial Mail awarded Alistair the ‘Big Idea’ award for the launch and maintenance of Smart – Daimler Chrysler. And Alistair planned on campaigns that garnered many creative awards from Cannes to Loeries Grand Prix Winners.
