Posted: April 17, 2013

Hellocomputer, Draftfcb South Africa’s full-service digital specialist, has brought home two Webbys Honoree Awards: One for the Toyota Etios ‘Tweet for Sweets/Smile’  campaign (which it created with Draftfcb Johannesburg) and one for the ‘Pledge’ campaign developed for Eskom.

Toyota Etios ‘Tweet for Sweets/Smile’ also picked up two One Show Merits for the sister agencies, and Draftfcb Cape Town was awarded a One Show Pencil for its ‘Fire Blanket’ campaign for Engen. This work is also on two finalists lists at the Clios; one for design and the other in the ambient category.

“The new round of award shows for 2013 has just announced their results, and it is fantastic to see Draftfcb agencies with some wins under their belts. Congratulations to all involved,” said the group’s chief creative officer, Brett Morris.

“The leading international award honouring excellence on the internet, The Webbys was established in 1996 during the web’s infancy, and is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS).

“Presented by The One Club, which exists to champion and promote excellence in advertising and design in all its forms, The One Show remains the pinnacle of achievement by providing a showcase of the world’s best work, and by inviting collaboration among individuals who are actively developing outstanding work.

“Recognition from these two institutions is therefore very gratifying,” he said.
