Y&R South Africa’s Johannesburg office is celebrating a well-deserved trio of pitch wins after it was announced that the agency has been awarded the Two Oceans, Nederburg and Drostdy-Hof accounts under the Distell motherbrand.
Y&R made a near clean sweep of this massive pitch, consisting of six agencies competing for four brands in total, and will be focusing on TTL, ATL, BTL, through to digital and shopper marketing.
“To say we are absolutely elated is an understatement,” says Andrew Welch, Chief Executive Officer of Y&R South Africa. “We look forward to servicing these renowned brands – not only in the South African market but, in some cases, beyond our borders as well.”
According to Distell, the fact that the agency demonstrated an excellent understanding of retail, and the ability to build a holistic campaign and take messaging to all levels were some of the key considerations that led to Y&R Johannesburg being awarded the business.
