There are only 28 days left to enter the Pendoring Advertising Awards! If you dream of the R100 000 Prestige prize and how a Pendoring award can give your career a real boost, don’t delay and get your entry ready.
All ads and campaigns in Afrikaans and another nine of the official languages, excluding English, that have been commercially published or broadcast in South Africa for the first time between 1 July 2014 and 31 July 2015, are eligible.
The Pendoring Awards, which are 20 years old this year, celebrate this milestone by focusing on the vibrancy of Afrikaans and the other indigenous languages of South Africa. Big rewards await the creatives whose innovative and culturally rich ideas catch the judges’ eyes.
The Prestige Award winner will receive an overseas study trip worth R100 000 – the biggest prize ever – while the winning client will receive free media from Pendoring’s media partners.
The winner of the Umpetha Award, the overall winner in the Truly South African category, will receive R20 000 in prize money.
Apart from the Prestige and Umpetha awards there is also a cash prize of R10 000 and an internship for the overall student winner.

Pendoring is an important showcase to the world, says Tim du Plessis, executive editor of Afrikaans newspapers at Media24
The Pendoring Advertising Awards, established in 1994 by all the leading Afrikaans media role players, focuses on promoting and rewarding outstanding Afrikaans advertising.
As such, Pendoring has grown into a prestigious event on the advertising calendar since its inception, with considerable cash prizes for category winners, bursaries for students and a study tour abroad for the Prestige Award winner. But Pendoring is also proudly part of the bigger South African picture and recognises and rewards advertising excellence in the Truly South African category that best embodies truly South African pride across all 11 official languages.
