Following this year’s Loerie Awards, Y&R South Africa has achieved its best ever ranking in the Creative Circle Ranking for Group Agencies and the Loeries® Official Rankings™, cementing a position in the top 3 respectively.
Y&R South Africa was awarded 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 8 Bronze statues across eleven categories, with 5 craft certificates adding to the final Creative Circle points tally. The agency also brought home its third consecutive bout of accolades in the ‘Ubuntu Award for Sustainable Marketing’ category for the Hope Soap and GIVA projects.
“I have challenged our agencies to look beyond the traditional, and to not rely on what we know or what the industry expects of us,” commented Graham Lang, Chief Creative Officer of Y&R South Africa and Africa.
“There has been a focused drive to develop a creative community that is future-ready and capable of working across all disciplines. To be honest, I am less concerned about the rankings and more interested in seeing our clients’ work spread across a range of categories. To me, that’s progress. But it’s obviously great to be in the top 3 this year,” he added.
